Oddjob

Although the provenance of this story might not be as clearly defined as the better known pantomimes, Puss in Boots is always very popular, and this production (©Angela Cook, September 2004) sticks to the traditional romantic storyline, with all the regular characters (or variants thereof). My character, Oddjob, as the name would suggest, was ‘a man of many talents’.

This sort of character is always enjoyable to play, because although on the surface he might seem like a less than competent fellow, he generally has a sort of native cunning that helps to succeed against the odds.
